The Revit Essentials - All Disciplines course combines the content of our Revit Essentials and Revit MEP Essentials into one comprehensive 5-day course.
Designed for delegates working across architectural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) disciplines, the course provides a complete introduction to Autodesk Revit.
By the end of the course, successful delegates will have the confidence to use Revit effectively across all major disciplines involved in building design.
Delegates will learn the theory and practical skills needed to use Revit confidently across architectural and MEP disciplines.
Revit Essentials
This element of the course provides delegates with a comprehensive grounding in the Revit application, enabling delegates to take a project from initial concept, through to design, analysis, documentation and visualisation.
The training is hands-on and practical. Trainers explain the relevant theory and demonstrate each technique step by step, after which delegates apply the skills themselves on a computer running Revit.
Delegates are encouraged to ask questions throughout and all files created during the course can be taken away for future reference.
Revit MEP Essentials
This part of the course introduces delegates to the key concepts behind BIM and the techniques used in Revit for MEP design. Delegates gain a thorough grounding in application, with a focus on the practical skills required to design and document, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Key areas covered include:
- Revit basics and setting up a new project
- Viewing structural and architectural models
- Understanding MEP systems
- Working with spaces and zones
- Designing HVAC systems, piping networks and electrical systems
- Applying annotations, tags and schedules
The course is ideal for delegates who require a foundation in Revit across both architectural and MEP disciplines.
It is particularly suitable for:
- Architects and building designers who need to develop high quality, accurate architectural designs
- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineers looking to develop practical Revit skills for their systems.
- Structural engineers that need to gain a better understanding of the tools used to develop structural designs
This is an Autodesk-accredited course, with an e-certificate awarded upon successful completion.
Your Revit Essentials - All Disciplines e-certificate does not have an expiry date, confirming your participation and demonstrating your understanding of essential Revit techniques across both architectural and MEP disciplines.
Revit Essentials - All Disciplines Training Course FAQs
About Revit
Q1. What is Revit?
Revit is Autodesk software used to design, model and manage buildings in 3D, including architectural, structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) systems. It uses parametric modelling, meaning that building elements are linked, when one component changes, related parts of the model update automatically.
Revit is best suited to complex architectural and engineering projects while AutoCAD is a versatile tool for drafting and design across a wide range of industries. You can learn more about our AutoCAD Essentials course.
