This one-day course will aim to teach delegates the following:
- Registration and Introduction
- Application and Machines
- Legislation and the WJA Codes of Practice
- Jetting Equipment:
- Nozzles
- Pumps
- Pressure Controls
- High Pressure Hose
- Water Jetting Hazards
- Water Jetting Injuries
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Operational Procedures
By the end of the course, the
delegates will be able to:
- Describe and undertake their maintenance responsibilities
- Determine the steps necessary to ensure safety of operation
- Identify potential diseases and accident risks
- Select the appropriate personal protective equipment
- Explain the methods of protecting equipment from frost
Anyone who is required to operate high-pressure water jetting equipment in their line of work.
To be eligible to attend this course, you must have certificated high-pressure jetting equipment that is fit for purpose. High-visibility waistcoat, overalls, gloves, hard hat, safety footwear, waterproofs, hearing, and eye protection are also required for this training course.

On successful completion of this course, a City and Guilds accredited Certificate of Training and a Photo ID Card will be issued by the Water Jetting Association. It is recommended that the Water Jetting Safety Awareness course be retaken every 3 years.
