This City & Guilds course provide delegates with the knowledge required for the periodic inspection of electrical installations; allowing them to be able to complete the Electrical Installation Condition Report and associated schedules.
Initial Verification testing will not be covered in this qualification.
Understanding the requirements for the following:
- Safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations
- Inspection, testing and recording the condition of electrical installations
- Completing the periodic inspection of electrical installations
- Safe testing of in service installations
- Testing circuits and energised installations
- Interpreting test results
- Completing electrical installation condition reports and associated documentation
Practising electricians who have not carried out periodic inspection and testing but have experience in inspection and testing.
The qualification is not suitable for those with limited experience of initial inspection of electrical installations, such as those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines or who have been working in allied trades.
Delegates must hold a current version of the IET Wiring Regulations to sit this course.
Delegates successfully completing the online examination will be issued with a certification by City & Guilds.
