- Laying and compaction of cold-lay bituminous materials
- Theory Assessment
This course is for those delegates who need to renew their certificate to reinstate roadways in line with the 2nd Edition Specification for reinstatement of openings in the Highway and the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA), revised 2002 Code of Practice.
Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a certificate from City And Guilds, Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry (CABWI) or Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) dependent upon location of course. This certificate is valid for 5 years.
The reassessment can be taken up to 6 months prior to expiry or up to 6 months after expiry of the card. On successful completion the card will be valid for a further 5 years from the expiry date irrespective of the date the course is taken with the 12 month window, however it should be noted that the card holder is no longer legal to work on the highway after the expiry date and would only be allowed to carry out associated works as long as a team mate has a valid card to cover the tasks that they are carrying out. You cannot take an operative reassessment and supervisor reassessment at the same time.
