To provide delegates with knowledge on health, safety and legislative matters pertaining to felling trees, as well as various cutting techniques for dealing with felling trees over 380mm in diameter.

This course is suitable for delegates who are required to operate chainsaws to fell trees larger than the guide bar length. Ideally suited to delegates working in Agriculture, Horticulture, Woodland, Local Authorities, Conservation, Construction and Land-based industries.
Due to the nature of the training a minimum level of fitness will be required for specific operations. Whilst we would not want to disadvantage you as a learner, it is an essential requirement.
Delegates should also have the relevant Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting, and Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm qualifications. If you arrive for the course without these qualifications you will be turned away. In these circumstances no refund will be issued.
Upon successful completion of the course delegates will receive a LANTRA accredited certificate. City & Guilds Registration can be arranged at additional cost. For the City & Guilds certificate an additional exam will need to be completed which will be arranged during the training. There will be an additional cost for this certificate.
